How do I fix un-even tire wear on lowered S2K
Here's my situation:
I bought a set of Eichbach springs that were supposed to lower my car 1.5inches, however it seems to be more like 3 inches and after 9 months with the new springs I have chewed through $1400 worth of tires (2 were half worn and the other 4 brand new Bridgestone tyres fukd up within 6 months.
I didn't notice there was uneven ware until a mate told me last week.
The front tyres are almost down to the canvas on the inside but the outside are almost as new.
Not the mention the rears, they are hardly as f*ked as the front but still extremely bad.
It now seems that not even a wheel alignment can fix this. So lowering an S2K 1.5 inches is further than the stock arms allow the camber to go?
Why didnt i just stick with the stock springs!!!!! What a headache.
Has anyone else experienced this??

You sure your toe is correct? Toe will chew through tires much faster than negative camber. Also, have you owned this car since new or did you buy it used? Reason im asking, is it possible the cars frame is bent from a past accident? Your saying you were able to achieve a good alignment, but something doesnt add up

I see what you mean mate.
It seem's then perhaps that both front wheels are toe out according to your suggestion. And with the camber it makes it even worse.
On our local website Ozhonda a bloke there from TODA says that I need all sorts of gear to correct it.
I didnt know lowering a car could be so difficult.lol

What's the print out specs from the alignment machine?
Which Bridgestone tires are you running?
Does the wear look like kriss-cross scrubbing?
How many miles do you average in a month?
If you noticed uneven wear with the majority of the wear on the inside of the tire contact patch you should dismount the tires and rotate them around from left to right so you get use out of the good side of the contact patch.

The company never gave me a print out of the wheel alignment!? They just said they gave it a wheel alignment after the 4 tyres were fitted.
The tyres that were fitted are exactly the same as the OEM Bridgestone tyres that they came out with.
Apparently they are a really good quality tyre they cost me $250 each. Apparently they are of a softer compound for better grip.
I should take pics of the tyres so you guys can appreciate the wear.lol

DISMOUNT AND ROTATE YOUR DIRECTIONAL TIRES FROM LEFT TO RIGHT/RIGHT TO LEFT BEFORE YOU COMPLETELY WEAR DOWN THE INSIDE OF THE PATCH!
You lowered you car with lowering springs so your camber can't go back to "zero" now.
Don't bother asking the alignment shop if they still have your specs becasue they're going to say they don't.
Have them put your car back on the machine and make a print out without any adjustments. If your camber is over -2 degrees then you probably have room some room for adjustment but don't expect them to be able to set it zero or get it within specs.
End of story
