Maybe you have a different definition for "work" than the rest of us.

Sic-S,

I got stuck in an unexpected snow storm at Crater Lake, Oregon last year.

The road was clear and weather overcast as I headed up to the lake from I-5 for some sight seeing. The closer I got the colder it became, apparently from the rise in elevation. Nearing the lake I found a 1-2" packed snow base on the hiway as the snow started falling. I dropped my speed to 5MPH not knowing what to expect as this was the first time I had the S in snow. There were very few cars on the road as I progressed on up - I was commited at this point to complete the journey. I became more and more confident driving the in the snow. I finally decided to experiment with the ability to stop and start in the snow. I got up to 35MPH and mashed the break pedal hard as I down shifted into second and let out the clutch. The result was the S stopped as if it was dry pavement. Accellerating from a dead stop was equally effective as long as it wasn't too agressive.

That is my definition of "works in snow"

I am running Falken RT615 tires on my '04 225/45/17 (front) and 255/40/17 (rear). Great tires. Super sticky for auto-x and daily driving with decent wear. I got 15K miles on my first set of RT615s.

slightly off topic, but can anyone tell me what the stock weight of the '01 wheels are vs the '04-'06 wheels are. I'm assuming since they're larger they must be heavier, i'm just not sure HOW much heavier they are. Thanks!

I saw some where that the 04+ wheels weigh around 35lbs but I can't be sure that's totally accurate.

Found it!!! Here's the link, it shows 35 lbs to ship.

That seems a little cheap for an OEM wheel...can't be right. They are probably made out of lead instead.

Amazing how every single wheel on the site, be it Honda or Cadillac, weighs 35lbs.

Unless it's tirerack or wheelweights.net, I don't trust their claims.

Does someone have a postage scale at work?
