So...is there any reason for a daily driver like me to NOT go with the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712's ? I notice that our sponsor features a full page ad within their section in the August Car & Driver and I quote: "Track-Inspired Race Winning Tech in an Ultra Hi Perf Street Tire"

As you can probably see, the S2000 seems to be VERY sensitive to the size, type and even pressure of the tires that are on them.

I'd like to see a track comparison between the OEM S02's and the newer S03's on an S2000. If the S03's are truely as good or better, the lap times should show it.

Like JB32 said, I'm sure all you need to do is ask and you'll get volunteers.

Remember, S2000 owners will be buying lots of tires if they only get 10K miles (on average) from their OEM S02's.

Well, no one gave me any negatives, so I will soon be the proud owner of 4 new Kumho ECSTA's...total price $360. I should be wearing them at the Fall Colors meet...perfect for leading one of the "moderate" groups

Jim@tire.rack- I gave you credit on the web order, even though we did not REALLY speak (in person).

paS2K,

Let me know how it works. I have four Kunho's sitting in my garage right now waiting for my S02's to crap out. May I ask what sizes you opted for?

Sonne-

I took the advice of many threads on this board and went with 205/55/16 front and 245/45/16 rear. I'm trusting that works out because I may not mount them until Spring (As a daily driver, I mount Blizzaks for the winter...they are great)

Are you coming east for the Fall Colors meet? You might get the prize for fartherest distance...although some folks are coming from Toronto

Jerry
