I don't mind modifying the fender.
If you had said this right from the beginning, the responses would have been vastly different.

Sorry X viper, I am so used to modifying fenders that I just think it is normal! I would have never suspected people not to roll their fenders. SO what do you think?

Most people don't want to mess with body work. You are in the minority. When someone asks about a wheel/tire fitting, they are generally not considering modifying fenders.
If you are prepared to modify your fenders, you can make almost anything fit.

you will need to run a very stretched tired in the rear with lots of camber. im running 17X9 in the rear +45 offset with a 235 tire and rub on stock fenders

I'm running 17x8 +45 w/ 215 on the front and 17x9 +45 w/ 245 on the rear. I rolled my rear fenders and I do not have any rubbing issues. I am running espelir springs right now, but plan to do coilovers to drop it more.

I saw Jcurtis fit 17x8.5 +50 w/ 225 tires on the front of his and it looks real good.

We put my wheels on his car since he has coilovers and with a rolled fender, a 17x9 +45 would probably even clear a 255 tire.

This is all with camber within US specs. You could do more if you camber it in a bit.

If you roll your fenders, your options are quite a bit more. All of a sudden you can get aggressive width's that do not rub. I almost feel like a 240sx owner... almost.

I say get 17s. 18s on the S2000 are just to large for such a short car.
