Default Help with tire size selection please !

My name: Jonathan
contact: Pm or email: jon0511715@gmail.com

I bought a set of gravity wheels from one of my friends. Rims are 18x8.5 +35 offset all the way around, they are wrapped with 235x40x18 and am not to crazy about the way it looks with these tires and they also rub in the front and rear, i have rolled front and rear fenders and it didnt fix the issue. i also have BS on piece coilover system witch i can adjust the height and stiffness of the my s2k. I just finish selling these tires and now am ready to buy new ones but not sure what size tires to buy, i wanted to go with the strech look and lower the car just above the tire so my s2k look really nice and clean, any suggestions or setup on tires size that you would recomend to help a member ? thanks

205/45 225/40 will be fine (i think this is the correct ratio for side wall.)
this is if you want different sizes f and r

the rears are what will give you the problem.

you can run 225/40 all around and it will be fine

in my signature picture i have 17x8+35 w/ 215 tires. it is currently at -3.2* camber front. 225 will fit perfect, and even better than mine because of the lower sidewall due to the wheel size. (i now have 225 on my fronts and it fits nicer than the 215 still with no rubbing.

-3.2 front 0 toe, -2.5R 1/8toe will be a good alignment to do what you want.

Did you get an alignment? Where are you rubbing? You shouldn't need a super stretched tire for those. It sounds like an alignment issue not a tire issue.

I did get an alignment and everytime I go over a bump I hear it rub...or maybe I should keep the 235 but go with 35 instead of 40...

Hear it rub where and what were your alignment specs? Did you have the rear tabs relocated? How much camber do you have front and rear? Something still doesn't add up here as I know of many cars that have run more aggressive wheels with no rubbing issues.

That's your issue. You need a custom alignment. I think you need at least 2.5 degrees all the way around. You need to find a local shop that does customs alignments and they should always give you the print out with the specs. You probably just went through a lot of trouble selling and buying new tires for nothing.
