Default Help with tire decision

I am getting ready to purchase new tires. I am keeping my stock rims and want to know what deferences there are by staying with the stock SO2 or going one step wider and a lower profile with the SO3.

JimmyB,
I've got the same question. From what I'm hearing the SO-3 s are a longer wearing tire with a comprimise in traction/handling. I'm not sure I want to give it up for longer wear, but 11-12 k from my rear tires in not a long time for the money.
I don't run the car in competition and So. Fla is flat and straight, with lot's 'O rain. So I too would be interested in hearing some recomedations about tire choice.
adios
