Default Help with SSR wheel / Tire decision

I have narrowed my choices for new wheels from SSR (in no particular order):

GT1
Competitions
GT3

What do you think would work with my 2002 Suzuka Blue S2K?
17 or 18?

Tire choices:

Pirelli P zero
Brigestone SO-3's
Michelin Pilot Sport
Dunlop SP9000

What is your preference or experience with these tires?

Thanks for any suggestions or comments!

SSR GT1
F:17x7 205/45/17 (is there such a size?) +45(us model) +48 (j-spec model)
R17:8 245/40/17 (+45 us model) (+50 j-spec model)

Keep a nice 20-25% staggered ratio if possible!

KIDS2000:

According to Tirerack, they recommend for the GT1's:
F:17 x 7.5 205/50/17
R:17 x 8 225/45/17
I assume this will work.

I am leaning more towards this wheel choice over the competitions and GT3's. (Also, it is priced lower and 17 inch rubber is less costly than 18's!)

Thanks for your reply.

That should work ok! Some people have proof that that set up would have skinner tyres than stock...
ie..
stock 205 in front really is closer to a 200
stock 225 at rear really closer to a 240

Go with th 18" GT-3's, you will love them and do not forget the Ricks "S" badges.

I don't think you can go wrong with the wheel choice with any of the SSR wheels. As far as the tires go I have driven all of them and the S03 is the best handling and the Dunlop would give a better ride quality and longer life. It would come down to what are you looking for out of the tire. You can see our test and info on all of these tires on our site.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
