Default Help with rims once again.....

I really have my heart set on these rims...so....

I would like them in 18x8 45mm for the fronts
18x9 55mm offset for the rears.

Tires are 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 (toyo most likely, but maybe the goodyear F1 if I purchase from tirerack,---I got a lower price from 1010tires)

Does anyone see potential problems? Should I run 35 profile tires instead of 40?

My car will be stock height, but I might decide to drop it NO MORE than 1" and probably not even that, more like .75

Do you think I will have rubbing issues?

I triple checked and it looks like the overall diameter will be exactly to the millimeter the same as stock, and with toyos, the revs per mile are EXACTLY as stock.

Just looking for some feedback before I pull the trigger.

THanks for any advice you can give me.

P.S.

Just as a note...tirerack recommends 40 profile, while the OZ website is stating 35 profile for the s2000. Which one is the one I should trust?

You would want the 225/40R18 front and the 245/35R18 rear. If you run the 40 Series front and rear you would end up with a taller tire on the rear of the car.
If I can help with the package let me know.

Yes you can Jim. I am looking at your website and others, but tirerack is the only one with the correct 2005 photo of these rims (OZ is black on the wheel) like on the OZ website. Is it just me, or are these the 2005 edition or something.

Anyway, I would like to purchase these rims, with the Goodyear F1 tires. From what I read, they are great tires and are priced well. How are they in the dry? In the wet? I dont care about snow, because I dont drive the car in snow. Also, PM me if you can cut a better deal with a coupon of somekind or special. Thanks again Jim!

P.S. I also notice that the stock s2000 rear tire has a tread width of 8.5" and the 245 goodyear has a width of 8.2" I am losing almost a half inch of contact patch...shouldnt I get 255s for the rear, to keep AT LEAST the OEM contact patch??

The overall diameters of 2003 OEM tires are about 24.9". If you go with 225/40R18 front then you should go with 255/35R18 rear, both of them have the diameters of about 25.0".

Thats what I thought too, but you dont think I will rub? OZ also recommends 245s, and I cant figure out why? Any more info I can chew on?

If the wheels are: 18x8 45mm for the fronts and 18x9 55mm for the rears, then you will be okay with 225/40-18 and 255/35-18. You will not have rubbing problem if your car is not dropped more than 1". But remember that with +2 upgrading, your ride will be much firmer than your OEM 16".
