Help a newbie with new wheels on my S2000!
Hey everyone,
I have been looking for a new set of wheels for my S2000 after my tires just about ran out of tread and I found a used set of Work Emotion XD9 that I have been looking for a while now. However, the rear offset seems a bit aggressive, although the previous owner did have all 4 fenders rolled and I'm wondering, in your opinions, if these wheels will fit/not rub and if this is an okay purchase. Thanks again for all your help and time!

Yes with your rolled fenders those will fit no problem. With a generous camber alignment in the rear about -3 you could fit a 255 back there on your next replacement, which is what id do if your keeping with a 225 up front.

Those wheels look dirty and are rashed a bit, I'd try to talk the seller down a little into the 3 digits as you may even want them refinished or at the very least a very thorough, aggressive cleaning (some of that stuff looks caked on and you may have to have a shop do it if traditional methods don't work like soap and water, scrubbing, and sonax wheel cleaner). 17x9.5 +42 does seem aggressive even for the rear, but as Junky pointed out you can get them to fit with a little work (possibly as easy as an alignment with camber).
Often when selling, people will leave stuff dirty to cover up blemishes. I'd take an extra careful look for cracks (especially on the inside part) or any possible bends. Use it to your advantage and offer significantly less than a clean looking set even if it doesn't have crack or bends, tell them you'll want to have them refinished because you're picky and you'll have to budget that if necessary. New ones are..$1,400-$1,500 at most?
