Default Help Me Decide

I am 90% ready to buy new wheels for my MY00 Silver stone. I want black RPF1's. I am going to get 17x7.5 with 215/45R17 in the front. In the back I am getting 17x9 in the rear. The question is, do I go with 245/40R17 or 255/40R17 for my rear tire? Will I be able to see the difference? Will I notice any difference performance?

My fenders are not rolled and my car is not lowered by the way. I know if I choose the 255 I will need to get my rear fenders rolled. I guess at this stage I am just wondering if it worth rolling for a better stance.

You'll get 10mm more rubber on the road on each side. This will give you a little more lateral grip. Whether this is worth rolling your fenders for is your call.

That said, my gut feeling is that if you're not lowered at all, you'd probably be ok with the 255s, though I'm not certain.

If you are willing to make the 255/40R17 fit I would go that way. You can also just run some more negative camber and try that before rolling the fender lips. Sometimes that is all that is needed. If I can help with the package let me know.
