Default Hankook Ventus Z212?

I have seen their magazine add a few times now and have tried contacting them but wasn't able to get any good info. Does anybody have any additional knowledge about these? They seem to be exactly what I'm looking for in a street tire with some auto-x use.

Here is a link to their site with the press release if you want to check it out: http://www.hankooktireusa.com/press_view.asp?ID=19

I haven't found any pics other than what is in the magazines. The tread pattern looks similar to the advan neova AD07 but with three circumferential grooves in the middle instead of two.

I was told they won't be available until September.

Let's hope they make a set of 16's 245/45-16 rear and 225/50 or 215/50 or 205/55 for the front.
I'm sure they will be available in more popular 17 and 18 sizes but I rather have 16's.

Here are anticipated sizes, according to hankook marketing:

The Ventus Z212 is a Z-rated tire, UTQG: 200/AA/A that will be available
late in the third quarter of this year, so approximately mid-August. The
initial sizes that we're looking to have in stock are as follows:

195/ 50ZR 15
205/ 50ZR 15
205/ 45ZR 16
225/ 45ZR 16
245/ 45ZR 16
225/ 50ZR 16
205/ 55ZR 16
215/ 45ZR 17
205/ 50ZR 17
215/ 35ZR 18
225/ 40ZR 18

Looks promising.

I was just on honda-tech and found information on the Z212 Ventus tire as well
I also found a link to a Hankook employee who has them on his WRX.

As I stated on the other forum,
they look like the Advan Neovas and hopefully they will perform just as good or better than them.
Cant wait to try a set.
I also believe he has 225/45/17s
The forum I found the link was on either i-club.com or nasioc.com

The guys in the racing/autocross forum at Honda Tech are all over the tire thing. Go over there and do a search.

I thought Hankook had put these on hold.
I was looking forward to the new Falken Azenis (though it will have a new name) until I saw the sizes offered.

I hope they are all available, the Z212 look's very agressive, much like the Azenis or the upcoming Azenis.
Those sizes are ideal for stock 16" wheels. Yehaaa!

I thought Hankook made lower quality tires compared to Michelin and Bridgestone???

they do but when you do track days, you'll go with the tire 1/2 the price for 90-95% of the grip
