I put these tires on my dads CL55 and have them installed on my S2000. for the price i think these are pretty good tires. they don't have the all out grip of tires like the Bridgestone S-03 poleposition, or my old set of Hankook RS-2's, but for the price they're very good. Road noise isn't bad and tire wear is a lot better than those two other tires. For a DD tire they're worth a look. I was going to buy some Starspecs or RS-3's but for the price and the tire life I went with a higher treadwear tire. I only got about 10k from my rear RS-2's. For these I'm hoping/thinking ill get at least 15-16k out of them. Plus I hardly drive fast enough to take advantage of the grip offered by lower treadwear tires.
On the tire squirm issues. It's noticeable at freeway speeds 50 mph+. But I haven't broken the tires in fully yet. I have only a couple hundred miles on them so far.
Width wise, I think these are pretty standard. I got 215/245's and they're narrower than my RS-2's which are a bit wide to begin with. My front 215's look a lot wider than the oem 215 RE050's. The rears are a little narrower than my RS-2's.

a 225 on a 7in wide wheel will stick out a little bit and bulge. the tire sidewall will be a little bubbly looking. i think a 215 would probably be the best bet for the front. in the rear a 255 wide tire will be a little taller than a 245 and would actually fill up the rear fender gap a little bit more, but it was also throw off the speedo a little because its a different diameter than stock. but not by too much maybe 1-2 mph at 60 mph.
if youre all stock it kinda comes down to aesthetics. IMO. if i were on stock wheels i'd probably go for a 215/45/17 setup in the front and a 255/40 or 245/40 setup in the rear.

I now have had these on for 25K miles, stock sizing on RPF1s.
They are quiet, but will get louder as they wear down, but still quiet overall.
REARS:
I was surprised on the wear of the rears, they are just getting to the wear indicators. I'm thinking they will last another 5-6K. I'm lowered and rotated them at 15K with a spot on alignment. Other tires I have used are gone at 20K.
FRONTS:
No rotation yet, only around 3 (32nds) worn down. These may go around 60K.
I travel a lot, 144K miles on an 06, mostly hwy but drive spirited otherwise. I'm happy with their performance and will be using them again on the rears.
For my set up, even wear (besides the slightest wear from camber, toe within spec) occurs at 38psi front, and 36psi rear. Got to this pressure by inspecting and noting the tread depths inside and out wear every 7K when changing oil.

Update:
The squirmyness is gone after 500 miles.. that's due to the lubricant that is used to make the tire and release it from the mold..
Anyway, i happened to drive the car through a heavy rain storm on the hwy and as long as you don't get throttle happy, you should be fine , just like in any other car w/ good tires.. I felt confident during the heavy rain..
So far so good.. Just hope the rear tires last a bit longer than the Suimoto HTRII's that wore out in less than 2 summer seasons with normal driving too.. However, the fronts still looked brand new.. Must be a RWD thing..
