Hankook Ventus R-S2 on customized AP1 rims
My ride is back on the road sporting the used 2001 AP1 rims I customized over the winter. They are now pearl graphite with silver (stock) edges. The valve stems are gloss black aluminum and the center caps reflect Rick's "S" emblems.
The Hankook rubber (Ventus R-S2 Z212 F205/55ZR16 91W R245/45ZR16 94W 200 AA A) has a very nice feel that thusfar doesn't indicate that I've given up anything significant to the stock Potenza S-02s. Realistically I need a lot more mileage and varied road conditions under my belt for any definitive evaluation.
These shots were taken about 10 miles north of Mt. Rushmore near my home.
This last shot shows the Classic Carrier black luggage rack with leather straps that I've installed to augment the 5 cubic feet of trunk space during road trips.
As an aside I also did a bit of engine compartment tweaking. See this post for more info:Under the hood thread
