Default Hankook RS-3 vs Bfgoodrich g force sport comp 2

Today I went to discount tire to get quote for Hankook RS-3 and the guy also recommend that I should look into getting the Bf force sport comp-2 since it has higher tread wear and gives similar performance. I was wondering if anyone had experience with both?

Agreed with ^. The comp 2 is a decent tire, but it is not in the same league as the rs3. The comp 2 is compared to the hankook Evo v12 and Dunlop dz101, while the rs3 is in the same class as the Dunlop zII, BFG rival and RE11A.

Now had he said to get the BFG Rival, I would have agreed with the tire guy.

mayb its me and how i felt after with driving grip/comfort/stability, the comp 2's are definitely a few higher brackets than the dz101.

Yes, the comp 2 are better than the dz101 (and evo v12), but they are still in the same classification. I have driven all 3 (and the original g force sport) and the comp 2 takes it hands down. The comp 2 is a new tire, the others are old technology. I also believe that the rs3 is in the bottom of it's class. But it is the only tire between the 4 that I listed that hasn't gone through a redesign in the last year.

It's like saying that a miata has similar performance to a s2000. Not really close if you ask me.
