I know plenty of people are plenty fast with ap1 wheels. I decided to go with prodrive gc-07 and I have noticed an improvement in grip, but I am also running bridgestone re-01r so it could just be the tires, placebo effect, or both (i was on s02's with my ap1s). I didn't weigh them out, but the weight of the ap1 wheels and the weight of my 17's felt pretty much the same. Prodrives are also a good choice if you want to look into a bbk in the future. If I did not get my prodrives i would have gone with the ce28 though.

I guess it all comes down to how much money you want to spend, what bbk you are thinking of getting, and how much track driving you actually do to justify new wheels. Good luck

On a test that Best Motoring did the AP2 sizing was better (at least it shaved some time off the lap times) than the AP1 sizing. If you look at the Racing and Competition threads most of the guys are running 17's staggered and a lot of the really fast guy's are running 17's non-staggared (requires more skill and practice though).

I like Prodrives (made by Volk/Mackin) out of their line-up the GC07's are my favorite because you can fitn a mild big brake set up (without spacers) plus the wheels are light weight, strong and are not quite as played out as the Volk line-up

The offset is not exactly S2000 spec, but has been proven effective on all the cars that have used them.

I am selling a set of staggered 17x7.5 +48 and 17x8.5 +54. and I run a 225 width tire in front with a 255 width tire in the rear. Sale would not include tires so you can decide what you want to run

here's some pics:

well I'm just crazy about performance whenever it has to do with my car. Far as track goes I go as much as possible and when im not I try to hit the canyons about every other day. Im running s02's right now on ap1's but could I just get re-01's for those and get the same grip and what not? or would I still benefit from a 17" and wider tires all around. TIA

i think they are both the same weight? the ce28's might be 1-2 lb lighter but i am really not sure.

the prodrives also have MUCH better brake clearance then the CEs, the are more compatible with bigger brakes if you ever decide on that.

^sweet...alright well ill see how much I can get them for...(would I buy them thru volk?? I kinda have a slight hook up with them) but what would be the best offset and stagger performance wise without having to roll the fenders or anything on a slightly lowered car? for an AP1. I asked this same question on a thread where this guy was selling wheels and what not and stated its better to go with a 9" in the back but I wanna make sure with you guys.

buy neveronlines2k's wheels. they are up for a good price. tommy@gotuning has them in the sponsor section for 2150 shipped. i am running the same staggered setup as neveronlines2k and i can fit 225/255 tire setup fine.

there is no 9" setup for our car.
17 x 7.5 +48, +44
17 x 8.5 +54

those are the sizes and offsets. i have the 48,54 setup. good luck
remember, these wheels are discontinued

hmm i see. Ill be able to get volks at 10% over cost, which way do you think I would get a better deal?

You are referring to the prodrives correct? they dont make a 9" rear?
