Got my AP2V1 rims powdercoated gunmetal!
As the title says, I recently got my AP2V1 rims powdercoated in gunmetal. The color is gorgeous in the sunlight as it has a hint of blue that complements my Suzuka Blue perfectly!
I decided to put on some anodized blue lug nuts and valve stem caps as some eye candy. They're not too subtle but not too flashy IMO. However, the center caps definitely stick out, so I'm going to spray paint them gunmetal and apply dark blue Honda 'H' decals to complement the hardware.
Now that I have the wheels done, I'm planning on painting the brake calipers next week. I'm leaning towards dark blue, but I don't know if I can match the exact shade of blue on the lug nuts. Any other color ideas?
Finally, here are the pics!

I dunno... I'm not a huge fan of very dark rims. They tend to "hide" a little too well and just come off as too subtle. You could have the best looking rims around, but if they're so dark no one can see them, what's the point?
Somewhat along the same lines, try taking a picture of you car with the light hitting in. The shaded pictures above make it hard to get a full impression of what the wheels look like on the car. I might also consider refinishing the centercaps to match the rest of the wheel (?). You can buy "H" decals on Ebay to finish the job.

^^^ i can see what you are saying but while you are rolling you can see crap anyway. I have a spa and personally wheels that are black and dark look the best. Its hard for some people to get a good color to go with there car. most s2ks look good with the factory color wheel especially black.

Yeah, I need to get some pictures of the wheels in direct sunlight. They're not quite as dark as they seem in those pictures.
I found some metallic spray paint that's really close to the color, so I'll be painting the caps and putting on some blue 'H' decals so it's more consistent.

I think they look really good. They have a better glossy finish than mine. I am glad you are painting the center caps...I think they look a little out of place. Obviously, it would be better to get a few more pics of the wheels.
I painted mine a gunmetal color...I put some non-OEM brake pads on that dust a ton so I like how you cannot see dust on them. Don't mean to thread jack, but just figured I'd share pics I have taken.

i think it looks great, though i tend to like basic boring silver usually
what did you pay for the powder coating? i have seen pricing anywhere from 50 to 100 per wheel in my area. also i think black would look best for the calipers
