Got flat....what next?????? need help!!!!!!!!!
Last night i got a flat.........the (huge) nail left a hole in my rear passenger side tire. The hole was clearly visible. It was about the size of a dime maybe a tad bit smaller but it was big enough to see through. The dude at the tire place patched it up from the inside he didn't even plug it and told me that it's hundred percent safe....hmmmmmmm... I dunno is it???? Please help do I need to get a new tire? Is it dangerous with a hole that big in a tire with just a patch over it?


If do need to get new tires......

I currently have about 3000 miles on the car. If I only get one new tire wouldn't the treadwear be uneven and hinder the handling?

What should i do????

I've always hated replacing just one tire. I feel your pain. But if the tire shop says it's safe, then I wouldn't worry too much. I assume the hole is in the tread and not the sidewall? If the patch comes loose, you'll just loose air. The car will feel like it's out of alignment when one tire has less pressure than the other. Be vigilant and you'll be fine.
