Goodyear Eagle F1
hey guys im looking to get a set of Eagle F1 GS-D3's for the rear. I know the correct size for tires on the AP1 is 245/45/16. But on tire rack they dont carry/make that size. Just wondering what sizes people are running. Thanks

The closest size for a 16" wheel is the 245/50-16. This tire is approx. 3.8% bigger diameter. This will result in your actual speed being 67.5 mph vs. an indicated 65 mph.
Personally, I'd find this acceptable.

Interesting. When I looked up the F1 gen'l. dim. I found the following for a 245/50-16:
O.D.=25.7"
Tread width=8.4"
Section=9.8"
An S2000 S-02 (225/50-16)has the following dim:
O.D.=24.8"
Tread width=8.5"
Section=9.5"
Therefore, the Goodyear 245/50-16 F1 is closer to the correct tread width. I don't recall what the 225 tread width was..
Xviper, can you remember any of the UK comments about handling with the 225 Goodyear?

You could always post a thread in the UK forum and ask for updates.
