Default good tire sizes?

i am looking for some advice and tire sizes for the ap1 wheels. i was thinking 255/50/16's in the rear and 235/55/16 in the front? are these sizes even made and the 50 series sidewall? help? advice? i dont want to slow acceleration but want more traction/grip. i have heard the 45 series in the rear might actually slow 0-60 times. i am a summer drag fan and take pride in my 13.97 pass stock, so i dont want to screw that up. am i making sense? ha!

First off, we have a wheel/tire forum for this topic.

Go to the TireRack website to see if they even make tires in this size.
Next, I think you are a little confused about how aspect ratio relates to accelerative performance. Given the same width, a smaller aspect ratio would give you a smaller diamter tire. A smaller diameter tire would give you better gearing and thus better acceleration.

If you don't want to screw up your drag performance, why are you going with such a wide front tire. Generally, a drag car does much better with narrow front tires that are pumped up in pressure. Also, a smaller diameter front tire will turn more easily, less resistance to being turned.

Unless you have increased the power output of your engine, you don't really need more traction. As is, the existing tires grip very well.

You can close this thread down yourself or ask a mod to do it for you.
