225 is ideal. 215-235 is doable

Yes it is. And lol no. 225 40 17. Try not to go over 40 side wall. 45 can be done but I'd rather not.

There is some incorrect info here. 225/45/17 is the correct tire size NOT 225/40/17 which is shorter than the stock diameter on AP2 OEM wheels and tires. Wider than 225 is doing to be to wide for those wheels. Those are also crappy wheel sizes to run on the car considering how narrow they are for the rear in particular. Again AP2 OEM wheel widths are generally a good benchmark to use when moving from AP1 16" wheels to 17's. As for what kind of tire we need to know more about your commute. Things like weather you have to drive in, temps etc. Daily driving in Phoenix AZ is way different than daily driving in Seattle WA in terms of the weather and temps you are dealing with and what type of tire will work best for you.

Manga is correct. We need more info. Running a non stag 7.5 all around isn't a great option on this car. Unfortunately it sounds like you already pulled the trigger.

i am no longer daily driving my s2k (Jane) anymore so she will only be driven in the spring and summer months and put away for the fall showers and winter. I live in kansas at the moment but next year the army is moving me to Washington. My average commute in that car when I drive it is usually 5-15 miles if i take it to work or dinner and if i go to the next big city with it for car meets its usually about 50 miles one way. I ain't looking to go fast or drift or track it. more of just slow cruising and taking it out with my wife on date nights
