So I've decided to go with an all season tire, and am trying to stay under $100 per tire. Does anyone have any good recommendations that they've personally used. There are great reviews for the avon tech 550's on tire rack. Anyone used these before?
Any input appreciated. Need to get tires asap.

Got a friend with a Wolfsburg Jetta that just got them about 1000 miles ago. He says they are pretty good. For cornering, the Tire Rack reviews seem to indicate the skidpad g-forces are similar to other AS tires...
Get them so you can tell us how good they are![wink.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I got Michelin Pilot A/S about 14k miles ago. There's still plenty of tread left, and it still handles great.

There's a whole tire forum, you can probably find your answer in there. I can't think of any all-seasons for under $100 that I'd buy, sorry I can't help you there.

why has this thread been brought back from the dead....
Well I might as well update. I eventually got the Yokohama Avid V4S.
Awesome tire for the all season category. Good traction in snow and slush, and great handling in the summer.
They are now for sale along with my AP1 rims if anyone is interested....
