get busy living or get busy dying
Sorry, shawshank redeption was on tv last night... here is the real question.
Ive been through tirerack.com....and
Why don't the s2k tires have some milage warranty? Yes, I realize they will deteriorate quickly, but perhaps they could give me some type of short milage warranty.... heck, even 10k would be nice.
How long have your tires lasted?
*driving dispostion, miles, front/back
Second part of my question.....this is very common I am sure. My front tires are practically new....my back tires are dying. Should I replace the backs with original bridgestones or buy all new tires (4) of some other brand and sell the fronts for change?
Thanks!!!

In my opinion, just replace the backs with S02's from TireRack. Make sure you get the S02's that are made for the S2000 and not the Porsche S02's. The rear tires are $148 each plus ~$20 shipping from TireRack. It should cost you less than $40 to have them mounted and balanced by your local tire shop.
Most drivers are using 2 to 3 sets of rears for every set of fronts. The rears wear faster than the fronts because they are the driven wheels, the stock alignment has negative camber, and you can't rotate the tires.
You could replace all four tires, but it'll probably be less expensive in the long run to wait till your front tires are worn to the point of needing replacement. You'll also be enjoying the maximum performance street tire available for your S2000.

My first set of OEM rears lasted ~9000 miles. I replaced my first set of fronts around 15000 miles. On our local S2000 group drives we're pretty aggressive on the twisties and I do a track day every coupla months. I did at least one high speed freeway run to So Cal and back (over 1000 miles) on those tires. High speed + aggressive on the twisties, + track time = increased tire wear.
Now at 20000+ miles and am on my third set of rears and second set of fronts. However, I now have a separate set of wheels with track tires. Hopefully this will help with the mileage on my street tires. A coupla hundred miles of track wear is probably like 2000 to 3000 street miles.
