Default Forgestar 17x9 +58

I am looking at some 17x9 +58 from forgestar. I know they will fit the rear, but from my calculations it seems they will stick out to much and scrub the fenders. Inner clearance would be close too. Any experience on a wheel this size and offset? I am not interested in fender modification. I would rather buy a wheel that fits. I am lowered around 1" on factory alignment specs if that helps the equation.

You are specifically asking about the front? You want 255 tires non-staggered? Lowered? Alignment settings?

Not enough info, but generally speaking that is about as conservative as you can get. 9" +63 is right at the limit of inside clearance on the front with 255 tire.

It will fit great with a 245 up front, no fender work, unless your slammed on ride height. 255 can fit also, but you will have to really watch how you drive the car around town on off camber driveways etc, because its possible to catch the outer top mount tabs on the fender if you compress the front with the wheels turned, but that can be an issue on stock if you tried hard enough, but this is more of an issue when lowered. I run a 10 + 58 255 and lowered almost 2". With that wheel width I did have to roll and pull the outer fenders a bit at about 10mm for added track clearance and inner clearance is null with about 1mm, but it fits. Your 9 + 58 is 12mm less aggressive on both inside and out, so your golden. But I would recommend a 245 for best trouble free clearance. Run a 255 in the rear if your going for a square wheel set. If you want to run a 255 up front too then you will want to roll the fenders. Camber regardless should be in the -2 range up front for outer clearance, and performance too of course.

Edited first post

Yeah the front specifically. I was thinking of 255 for a square setup, but I am not against stagger if it means better handling without adding sway bars at the moment. I have Ohlins suspension and am set at around 1" lower than stock. Still a decent gap between the tire and fender. I researched the factory rear wheels up front and saw that most people got away with little to no interference on the inside and none on the outside (17x8.5 +65). That was what I was basing my calculations off of. The 17x9 +58 will stick out .65mm less on the inside and 13.35mm more on the outside. Going off of that, I was worried about rubbing the fenders up front.

Thanks for the info. I like to see real world data.
