got them flipped today. insides were worn more than i thought. i noticed one of the rears has a little thread showing now. with the warn edge on the outside do u guys think this will be unsafe? u can see how my tire contacts the road from the pics. it looks like to me the warn edge wont be a problem.

That is totally unsafe, with tire chord showing, expect catastrophic failure soon if you drive at expressway speeds.

Do not drive on those, Purchase new rear tires. If there was one thing I could tell every owner from my experiences with this car it is that you WILL eventually regret not replacing the rear tires due to the fact that this car is EXTREMELY lively in the rear even with a very competent experienced driver. less than $500 for tires, or possibly $500-$1000 for the insurance deductible when the inevitable happens due to not replacing them. Your choice.

It may sound harsh, but it's reality. Many many many S2000 accidents have been attributed to the rear tires being worn.

Fix your alignment and get new rear tires, if the fronts are as bad or close to being as bad as the rears get 4 tires and a alignment.

That wear pattern is due to the absurd amount of STRETCH.
The mounted tire wants to look like this:
(___)

not this:
\___/

Massive stretch plus an otherwise reasonable amount of camber has you riding on the corner where sidewall meets tread. Antifunctional fitment, looks ridiculous. Flipping the tires was a total waste of time/money, obviously.
