Fitment Advice
My car is rubbing slightly on driveways and full lock turning on a square set of 17x9 +40 TE37 wrapped in Hankook RS3 255/40/17 tires. The tires are way to beefy and it's rubbing on the outer lip on the front fender. It's also slightly rubbing the rear bumper as well also up driveways. Since these wheels are just daily driving/street wheels i'd like your opinions on what i can do to get these to work without rubbing and without PULLING my stock fenders. They are currently rolled flat with the tab relocated. Camber is -3.2 Front and Rear. The 225 Front and 245 Rear will allow me more Camber flexibility which is intriguing me most.
Here are my options:
1. Purchase a narrower 255/40/17 Spec street tire such as Bridgestone Pole Positions or Hankook V12 Evo's.
2. Purchase 245/40/17 Tires all around.
3. Purchase a narrower 255/40/17 Tire and run a 225/45/17
4. Purchase a 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 Hankook RS3
What would you guys do.

Personally, I would run 225/45 RS3 in front and keep your current 255/40 rear. It is the cheapest option and it seems like you should be able to make that rear fitment work without changing tires. As a bonus, you will have an extra set of spare tires for the rear.

That was the other option i had which makes the most sense.

5mm, but that’s only a “should”, no guarantee with tire manufacturing discrepancies. Your best bet is to look at the manufactures size chart listed on tire rack for exact measurements between the sizes/brands, or you could be buying way more tires then you intended.
