Favorite/Ideal Rim and Tire Size for Track
Hey Everyone,
I'm new to the S2000 and S2Ki. Just picked up my S2000 a month ago and I was curious as to what size tires and rims you track guys are running. I hear 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 is supposed to be "ideal," but I noticed the SPOON rims are 16s and some guys are even running wider tires. What would you guys recommend....?
A few specific questions...
- What size tires?
- What size rims and offset?
- Any recommendations on rim and tire combo... please be specific...
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated...
I would like to thank everyone in advance for any feedback.
Take Care,
Ed

Recommend for what? What will you be doing with the car? Tracking? Auto-x? Back and forth to work?
Spoon runs 16's, because they're lighter. But that car sees track 100% of the time. For the streets, I'd prefer 17's or 18's. SSR GT1's look good, as does BBS RGR's. Also, check out Volk's (CE28's). But be prepared to pay $$$$.
