Default Falken Tire PSI

Since Falken tires dont return emails, I was wondering if any of you have the Falken Azenis St-115... I wanted to know what your tire pressure was at? I have 17" wheels. The tire reads a 51psi max pressure and a 41 psi for something to do with seat beads.

Falken has returned my emails so far

FYI, I just put on 17" fk-451's and have them at 36 front and 34 rear. As long as they are not under inflated below 30-31lbs and not over the max psi when hot it is really a personal preference thing I think. The sidewall on the st-115 is a little softer than that of mine so I may adjust it up a bit but not much. If you're not meticulous about your pressures, feel of the car or monitor tire wear then I would just set them at 32 all around but try to keep an eye on them though.

Anything around 32 to 35 should be fine. You usually go by what the car requires not really wht the tires says. Its on the inside sticker in yuor door jam.

"Faulken Tires", say that to yourself a few times fast.

On all tires you should follow the recommended air pressure for the car.
The air pressure is based on the car and not the tires on the car.

Well, that depends on what kind of driving you plan on doing.
Also the S2000 comes with a tire that has setain wall stiffness and level of grip that make it suitable for most people at certain PSI.
I found the SO-2's worked better with 34-35 PSI when autocrossing, 32 PSI just made the tire roll too much.
For normal driving 32 is good but I see nothing wrong with 35.
I'm sure ST-115 or FK-451's need more tire pressure because they have softer wall's.

He's right on for sure. Just cause the tire says it can go to a certain pressure doesn't mean that the max pressure is correct for your application.

Start off with what it says on the car, and go from there. Buy a nice tire gauge with a dial read out. You'll have it for life and it makes checking the pressure so much easier.

So if I put a set of drag slicks on my S2000 I should run them at 32 psi? I think not. You have to adapt to your specific application. Jim I know you help a lot of people out here and you have to be PC to make sure some idiot doesn't try to sue your company but to say all tires should be run at the pressure listed for the car is incorrect.
