experience with SSR wheels?
Just got my S2000 last week. Put winter tires on the OEM wheels, have started browsing for a set of summer wheels. I've read through the wheel offset thread, and Volk and Mugen wheels are beyond my budget. I like the SSR Type C RS and their offsets fall into the acceptable range.
My question is for those who have SSR's, have they been strong wheels? I know they are advertised strong and light and that they are forged with a proprietary process. In my other car clubs I hear mixed reviews. Some love them, tens of thousands of street and/or track miles, to problem. Others have they are soft and bend easy in the spokes and can't be repaired.
I tend to think any wheel will bend if banged hard enough - and those who have problems will be louder than those who don't. Thought I'd see what the S2K community has to say about them.
Thanks!

I bought a set of used SSR A2 Integrals last year. I've put ~10-12k miles on them. Tracked them once at Lime Rock. No problems.
I do my best to avoid curbs, though

I got SSR Comps. 18's. They are awesome!! Lightweight and strong is correct. The first time i picked them up with no tire I freaked out! They are crazy lite weight. I get alot of compliments with them too. I have 18x8 +48 front & 18x9 +55 rear. I run Goodyear gsd3's. 225/40/18 front & 255/35/18 rear. I was running 245's in the rear. I had no rubbing with 245's. Thought I would try 1 size larger-255. I have slight rub when car bottoms out, which is very seldom. It is lowered however with H&R springs. Go for it. Type C RS is a smokin wheel!! You'll love them. For real!!
