I guess my caveman english dialect is lacking. I thought he was saying that he did NOT want 265/40/17.
No, I want a 265/40/17 in the z2, they have it for the z1. If they don't offer that size I hope they don't discontinue my other size. I would really like a 275/35/17 ( I don't think anyone makes that size)
Two off the top of my head that do, is the NT01 and RE760sport. They are available 275 on 17 inch rims

Those are 275/40 not 275/35

This is true.

Are you running this size tire on stock wheels?

Nice! Maybe my RS3s will be worn out just in time

To be honest though I wouldn't be surprised if it's either a long time until we see this or we never see it. In the past Dunlop/Bridgestone/Advan have made lots of good tires that we never see in the states.
I know theres lots of good tires we dont see here, but I think they would be out of their minds not to bring this here after the success of the star specs.
You would think that to be true, but in the tire business, high performance halo tires are small beans. Most $$$ for R&D, smallest amount of tires sold. It's a losing proposition from the start.

That's why I'd think they'd want to move as many units, as quickly as possible, so why not the US market from the start?

Profit Margins an simply not enough demand vs a broad market tire.

Why is it that of the four top tier tire manufacturers in the US, only one (Bridgestone) markets an extreme performance summer tire under their headlining brand?

Our information comes direct from the tire manufacture on tires and we actually weigh each wheel. At this time I don't have any information on the tire. Dunlop is here today and I will have purchasing check on it.
