I'm honestly surprised they were better in the wet because they sure don't look like it by tread design. I figured the improved dry grip came from sacrificing wet grip.

compound has a lot to do with it. tread design deals much with standing water and evacuation

The specs come direct from the tire manufacturers.

I have loved the Z1SS for at least 4 seasons. I just got the Z2 on today. Here's what I posted in the STR autocross thread. The wheels are Enkei PF-01 and tires are Z1SS vs. Z2 in 255/40-17 size. I like them so far.. a lot...

nice they look real meaty and less tread blocks should be better grip. What is the thought of the tread gashes from a lions claw in regards to water evacuation?

Why does it take so long to be sold in the US?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it almost looks like the Z2 is slightly wider than the Z1SS.

I feel like the Z2 looks barely slimmer and I'm talking all of 1-2mm tops.
