Thank you for the official word! Are there plans to do a test of them when they arrive? I'm interested how they handle in the rain compared to the z1s with the change in tread design.

I'll probably place a pre-order soon. My wheels (CE28N 17x10 +44) come in around that time frame so it would be pretty much perfect timing.

You can pre purchase the tires. I checked on the pricing and we paid more for the tires. When the RE-01R was discontinued we bought the tires at a big discount. We did not do that with the Star Spec. In fact the pricing went up and that is why the increase.
Just enter Jim as a previous contact.

255/40r17 fell from 196 to 185. Still interesting how they cost more than the new and improved version that replaces it in the next few months.

Jim- do you know or can you honestly say if the current (comparatively low) pricing on the ZII is simply for market penetration? Or did Dunlop design the tire or manufacturing process to bring their bottom line down compared to the Z1 Star Spec? Curious if they will stay close to these prices or if they will start to wonder north of the $200 mark in the sizes we need.

Yeah I dont see why it would be a problem. The balance will most likely be different but you will get used to it
