Default Dunlop SP 5000 or Yokohama AVS bd S2's

Looking for some tires that are good enough for snow but are not really a snow tire. I'll park it if more than a couple inches, but I don't want to get stuck if caught by surprise either. I'm more interested in the best handling all-season I can get for my stock wheels.

Anyone have any experience with these two?

Thanks, I've heard the ride quality of Dunlop tires in general is bad. How do the SP5000's ride? This is why I also wanted to find out about the Yoko's, which have been known for good ride quality.

Supposedly they correct the treadwear problem in the S2's. How much I'll find out shortly as I mine should be at the installer sometime this week.

Destiny, since I haven't heard any opinions on the Yoko's, I think I'm going with the Dunlops. Are you running 245's or 225's on the rear?

I'm buying tires next week, and the Dunlop SP 5000 is currently my 1st choice.

I'm a little concerned about the size diff though. The SP 5000 225/50 16's are very close to S02's, and the 245/45's are spec'd larger.

You want the 245/45... the following pictures should tell the story.

I assume that you have not experienced any problems with the wider section width.

Thanks for the info.
