Default Driving with an almost flat tyre

Got my two rear tyres replaced two days ago with Bridgestone RE050's. Drove about 25 metric miles untill i finaly startade to feel that something is seriousley wrong with the handeling. Stoped and looked at the left rear tyre and it was almost flat, meassured the pressure to 0,2 psi. Since this is my first car and first time changing tyres I just though it was the bad road surface affecting the handeling. But no. So my question now is that I might have driven almost 30 metric miles with a verry low pressure havet the tyre taken damage and maybe also the wheel? It was smoot highway surface I drove.

It should be ok. You'll know if there is something wrong if it won't balance or if you can see visible damage. Most tires have a strong sidewall for this reason so if you get a flat it doesn't wreck the wheel. Have the shop check it of coarse and lesson is if something feels wrong stop and check it right away. Never assume.

Lesson learnt! I stoped by at the garage the car is parked at now waiting for the tyre fitter to open tomorow. And the tyre seems to hold its air a lot better when stadning still. Did not havet the pressure meter with me, but it was most definetly not down at 0,2 psi after 24 houers of standig still. Could this be an indikation towards wherein the problem lies...?

I would ask for a new tire. Riding on flat can damage the tire, cause tread separation, which Will let air bleed between plys, and could result in a sudden blow out.

They just mounted the tire. Something was wrong they did not catch. Either a leaking valve stem, or maybe tire leak where tire bead meets rim. That area of rim often needs to be cleaned when new tires mounted to get a good seal.

It's also possible it was just a defective tire. It happens but yeah if want a new one since it happened suddenly right after mounting it.
