does everyone's rear tires wear out before your front tires
Hey, I was wondering if every ones rear tires wear out faster then the front tires. My rear tires didnt last nearly as long as my front tires and I dont drive hard most of the time

the OEM rears that came on my 00' were unsafe for wet by 10,000 miles -- although the fronts were still OK at that point, I replaced them all with 03's ... the 03' rears wear much beter than the OEM 02's
Keep you eyes gluded on the rears and don't chance it -- replace em' if they are worn

I was told at 5000 miles that it was time to replace my front tires. Instead I got it aligned and made it to 11,000 before getting a new set. Most of my driving is done in the twisties in the mountains, so the fronts get a better workout.

I'm willing to pay the price for performance. Besides, at the rate I've been putting miles on my S2000, a new set of tires every 2-3 years isn't that bad.

My stock rears have a little over 10k on them and they look shot...maybe a couple of millimeters left to the wear bars, whereas the fronts hardly look worn at all! I'm getting serious hydroplaning in the rear on wet roads so I'll be replacing them soon. That slipping of the rear is a little scary (if it's not intentional) when you're used to the car sticking to the road like glue!!!
S-02s or S-03s in the rear, or S-03s all around...now that's the question. (kinda hate to pitch the fronts, they look so new. )
