i ran +52 volks in the rear and i needed a ROLL and tab relocation when running 255/35/18 BFG gforce sports.
My car was lowered with aggressive 2.5 degrees of camber.

i checked the 'sticky'; also, spoke to jim at Tire Rack. it seems to check out fine. HRE will also be validating the specs before building the wheel.
thanks.

8.5" + 52, 255/35/18 lowered to 1/2 fender gap. the tire would scrub on bumpes.
+53 vs +52 (yours)
stock ride height vs lowered to 1/2 fender gap
you think these two differences would help me avoid rubbing?
by the way, i checked BBS's Wheel Configurator. the recommended settings for LM (18s) are:
18x8, +50
18x9.5, +55
they would not recommend such a configuration if there is chance for rubbing. so, i am assuming that your lowered ride height is impacting.
thanks.

I dont think that you will rub, I just got rid of my set of 18 x 8.5 + 52 ce28ns.
I guess depending on the tire choice, but I ran 255 35 with no rubbing what so ever, I was lowered pretty considerablly, with a finger gap or less. Just depends on your camber I guess.
Sorry my two cents is contradicting. Hope it helps.

steven, here are the specs:
front: 18x7.5, +55; 225/40
rear: 18x8.5, +53; 255/35
do these make sense?
thanks.

285 on a 8.5 will be pinched looking. It also will be a tougher fit. 255 is the way to go. IMHO
thanks.

They should be fine Henry, the only variable you will also have to consider is the specific tire you use. Each tire is slightly different (width wise) within a given size.
thanks.

I think that the stickie is a general suggestion. So to play it safe, I shied away from the 265 and went with a 255 on a +55 wheel. Even though that the stickie says it should fit. THe 255 just fits on my stock fender with -2 degrees of camber. I could roll my fenders, relocate my bumper tab, and add a little more -camber and fit a 265, but I didn't feel that it was that important.
