that size is a new release (like within the last month or two). tirerack says it is in stock.

They will but you will probably see no benefit running them over a 255/40.

case in point, i ran a 265-35-18 RT615 on my setup with small 344whp. i could spin these from a stab in 1st and 2nd gear. it was retarded. i went to a 275 toyo RA1 in the rear, 1st gear would stick i know its wider but there was no way a 275 RT615 was gonna hold like this thing and it fit perfect so boo hoo.

fernando @ cft on his red s2k with sick HP runs a 255-50-16 MT ET DR and he hooks. on a 255!!!!!

rather then going wider, get better rubber, it makes a lot of difference.


buddy of mine has a theory, if you go wider on average tires, you spin more, wear out the tire faster becuase your spinning then just going stickier and hooking. yeah sticky tire is more money, but yoru cheaper tire is wearing out potentially faster and then the cost difference is negligible. plus, who wants to make power and then not be able to use it?
