Different tires on front and back
I have an ap2 MY06 and it comes with the dbw and vsa. i read in many places that you should not do this. well, i did b/c my rears were balding so i decided to use better wet and dry traction tires, g-force kdw the one with the cool tread. then after a while my fronts went out to i decided o get a better dry traction tire b/c i'm not crazy in the rain. from what i hear the khumo mx were great for this application. so i put the khumos in the front and the g-force stayed in the back.
well before this i had the potenza re-050 all the way around. someone mentioned that if you mix and match tires you wont get the same balance as you would with the same tires all the way around. well when i had the potenza, i would understeer at its limits . and now with the sticker tires in the front and the harder compound in the rear, i thought i would get a lil more oversteer, but i still get more understeer.
it is so hard to oversteer with vsa on, that is one of many concerns had about mixing and matching tires. well with the vsa, i dont this problem. i was wondering if this would still be ok if i continue to mix and match tires?
my next set up would but hankook rs-2 in the front and faulkens 615 in the rear.

It's not an issue; but I had the BFG's you have and they don't really grip that well in wet/slick conditions. As of now, I have the BFG's in front (still have tread) and replaced the back with Continental Pro's when the BFG's were low on tread.

That will be fine only if the rears match up with each other, and the fronts match up. Just as along as you don't have mismatched tires all around where the treads are shooting in all directions :thumbup
