I have no first-hand knowledge about the Conti DW's, but they would definitely be at the top of my list if a bit more life and a bit more water-channeling were bigger priorities for me than maximum grip (non-R-comp) for time trials at the track. This purely based on Tire Rack's test vs. established players.

Only caveat would be possible flimsy sidewalls. If you want razor-sharp response, you might go with the StarSpec, RE11, or AD08. But of course they all cost more, esp. the RE11 and AD08.

Must say that I rely almost entirely on the TireRack site for info regarding tires. It simply can't be emphasized enough what a fantastic resource Jim and the Tire Rack guys are for REAL OBJECTIVE information on many many tires based on actual testing. Infinitely better than relying on multiple anecdotal reports of tire performance. Before Tire Rack, buying tires was as much or more faith-based than knowledge-based.
