Cutting fenders
#2
it's really easy. the fender liners are held in by just clips, so remove all 10-12 per side and then follow the line of the fender with a razor and ta-da, trimmed fender liners.
it really isn't hard at all. how much you want to trim is up to you, but once you pull them off, you'll see instantly how much you "need" to trim off.

You can cut the inner fender lip off, or you can "roll" it upward against the inside of the fender. Rolling it makes more sense because it's cleaner and it allows the fender to retain a lot more strength than it would if you cut it.
Generally when people say they are "cutting" their fenders, they cut a large portion of the fender (including the inner lip) away to completely eliminate rubbing in this area. At that point you have to put overfenders on your car to hid the carnage to the stock fender. This type of work is only required for extremely ill-fitting wheels. 17x9 +45 is still conservative enough that a simple rolling of the fender lip will be all you need.
