Default Correct Aspect Ratio for running 235s?

I've tried searching but S2KI's search function sucks.

I'm trying to put on the widest tires I can on the stock AP2 rims. I will be running 255/40/17 in the rear but I have seen people running different sizes for the front. What is the correct aspect ratio for the front if running 235s? 235/40/17 or 235/45/17? It seems that an aspect ratio of 40 is closer in overall diameter to the stock 215/45/17.

Thanks in advance!

Really there is no correct choice because the diameter will not match the rear either way you go. IMO a 235/40 is a better choice in both looks and performance. You can get away with a shorter tire in front, larger would just look weird. I'd probably just stick with a 225 since you are somewhat limited by the 7" wheel.

Go with a 225/45 in the front. 255/40 in the rear is a good choice (running the same rear). I am running OEM specs on front, 215/45 but will go 225/45 when I have to replace the tires. This is on stock AP2V1s.
