We are testing a set of 19x9.5 +0 with 245s on Monday, this will give us enough clearance to run a 18x12.5 with a +38 offset! So provided we end up with the right inner clearance this setup will be ready to rock

Okay, test fitted the
19X9.5+0 with 245/35/19 Inset: 120.7 Poke: 120.7
WHICH would have the same effective outer clearance as a
18X12.5 +38 with a 315/30/18 Inset: 196.8 Poke: 120.8
Which gives us an overall needed inner clearance on these wheels to fit the new of just under 3 inches, NOW for the inner measurement.
Inner rim to inner fender well 4 inches.. problem area of the shock tower, inner clear 3 5/8" but we plan on cutting, grinding, heating, bending, whatever it is we need to do to get that little flap there flush.
PROBLEM, They are a bit to mexi poke for me so first intention is drop just over 1/4 an inch of poke out of the equation.
So we thought, drop to 18X12.5 +45 (just over 1/4 inch less poke) Inset:203.8 Poke 113.8
NOW, the inner clearance needed to fit that setup would end up @ 3.27 inches with the shock tower worked, I have 4 if not a touch over 4..
This leaves me with just under 3/4 of an inch of play, for articulation on a stiff suspension, what does everyone think? and remember this is a 315 on a 12.5 so the sidewall flex (as far as rubbing is concerned) wont be an issue and remember, not a track car. what are your honest opinions? I know this section isnt much for this kind of thing but it should be interesting to everyone at the least!

My honest opinion. This doesn't look good, besides the fact that it looks like it will rub on the over fenders, your sticking out about an inch to far. You should have enough inner clearance to not have to run these out so far. Your only running 20mm more rubber then me and I don't even have over fenders.

...But those are going to be some pretty massive over fenders, I like the rear bumper cover, but I'll refrain from judgment until I see how these over fenders are molded/bolted in.

I'm still looking into possible rim/tire options for my 00' Berlina 6.0L S2000. Cut the quarters and rebuilt them, shaved ASM rear over fenders, cut bumper with bumper extension. I have a set of the "flush & wide" 18x11.5 CCW's on another of my S2000's with a 285 rear that got dwarfed when i bolted them on my berlina 00' with the fender work. I could easily get away with re-lipping them and cram a 315.

Done a bunch of math, and looked at other setups, what works, what's too much for my taste, and come up with the following specs.. I have one more measurement to make, I need 2.3 inches inner clearance more than my current setup
Front 18x11+55 with 275/40/18
Rear 18x12.5 +60 with 315/30/18

Well rubber is part of the tire, yes
You got a chip on your shoulder buddy. Lose the attitude. You think your inventing the wheel here? No pun intended

Not at all, but it's clear you don't read the full posts before you reply, I could care less how you think it looks, I asked a question about inner clearance
