Default Continental tires

Anybody running continental's in oem ap2 sizing? Today I ordered Falken FK-453's and then shortly after placing the order our continental rep showed op and offered a very attractive offer on their product.... But after a quick browse online it doesn't seem that they have much that'll match our front ant rear sizes

ExtremeContact DW is a good summer tire available in OEM sizes and also 225/45, 255/40 if you wanted to up size. DWS has same sizes if you want an all season tire instead.

Don't do it! I recently replaced my OE RE050's with Continental ExtremeContact DW's in OE sizes 215/245. I have a stock AP2 and these tires completely changed the feel of the car. The car now rides soft (some may like this) and feels squirmy. With the RE050's the S is sharp and planted. The wet performance of the DW's is good so if this is a factor, you mostly drive in a straight line, and need a tire with high treadwear these may be for you. If you enjoy the planted feel of the S2K and like to take corners with confidence faster than you would in a Corolla then look elsewhere. I am very disappointed in these tires as a S2000 option and as soon as I can afford to I will be swapping them out. Good luck with your tire purchase. I hope it goes better than mine.

^^^ The S needs a firm twin ply sidewall tire like the Bridgestone’s to feel safe and proper. This car is very sensitive to tire choice. All extreme summers have a dual ply sidewall, with the Rs3 feeling the least responsive in the lineup. When you start getting into the ultra/max summer line ups, choose wisely. Not all are equal in construction and many tend to lean towards comfort with pliable sidewall construction, which will be readily apparent when you put them on the car. I’ve tried some back in the day before I was privy to this, and had many a white knuckle experience just trying to change lanes at freeway speeds as the cars rear wanted to come around on me. Scary, and total detune of the cars performance ability in one bad decision on tires. Return them!

The FK453 in my experience is a pretty good firm handler if I recall, but not a great gripper compared to others in a similar category.

RE050 compared to S-04? I'd rather save $300 if possible but need new tires soon..

The Conti DW is a good summer tire. Had experience with them and they were great on dry and wet roads.
