This a link to a test that we did with the Conti. They will last longer than the Star Spec and give better wet traction. They are not going to be in the same class in the dry as the Star Spec.
If I can help let me know.

I have them on my 05 and they are awsome as far as bang for the buck handeling, traction the whole, bit I would buy another set if I needed one.

Someone on here just did a review do a search as see if you can find it.

I love em! Heres a link to a review I did, after a thousand more miles the tires im confident that I made the right choice. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/872...#entry21194282

they will also last much longer than a star spec but will most likely not grip as hard in the dry.

I am in love with them, I have driven on Star specs and RS3's on the street, and now just use my RS3's for autox and DD on DW's.... Great grip (although not as much as the D1SS or RS3 as previously stated) smooth ride, AWESOME in the wet, handle 40ish degree evenings we have here in NW FL. Reasonable price. IMHO one of the best street only tires for the S2K.

So are you saying they don't harden up and get as slippery as other tires in the cold? If so, then that would be great. My RE050s are like rocks in sub 50 degree weather.

I plan on picking these up in these sizes soon: 255/35/18, 225/40/18 and will report on how they feel. I'm expecting the lower profile afforded by the 18" wheels will reduce the sidewall deflection everyone whines about.

ExtremeContact DWs and RE050s are in the same category. RS3s and D1SS are in a different category. So it makes sense that ExtremeContact DW (just as RE050) is a softer tire and would be better then RS3/D1SS at 40F

You didn't read my post at all. I know those tires are in different categories, but what I'm saying in my RE050s are as hard as bricks in the cold. The Conti DW is in the same "category", so if it stays grippier in the cold, then I would be happy. That was why I asked.

Are PSSs out of budget? A lot of people have said that these belong in the Extreme cat. and have a higher tread wear rating than most of your extreme perf. tires.
