Unhappy Which combination should I go with?

After looking for a long time at different wheels and tire combinations a realizing that the options are limited without spending thousands of dollars on wheels, I have made the choice to go with Rota D2's for my car. Ideally I would like to go with a 17 inch wheel with the widest tire possible for front and rear, but if I have to go with 18's will. What combination for front and rear would you recomend given the options for the D2 wheels? I appreciate your help.

16 x 7.0 +40 4h x 100
16 x 7.0 +40 5h x 114.3
17 x 7.5 +20/+35/+40/+48 4h x 100
17 x 7.5 +20/+25/+35 4h x 114.3
17 x 7.5 +20+35/+48 5h x 100
17 x 7.5 +35 5h x 112
17 x 7.5 +20/+25/+30/+35/+45 5h x 114.3
17 x 7.5 +35 5h x 115
17 x 8.0 +35 4h x 114.3
17 x 8.5 +20/+25/+45/+48 4h x 100
17 x 8.5 +20/+25/+30/+35/+45 4h x 114.3
17 x 8.5 +20 5h x 100
17 x 8.5 +20/+25/+30/+35/+40/+50 5h x 114.3
17 x 8.5 +35 5h x 115
18 x 7.5 +48 4h x 100
18 x 7.5 +35/+45/+48 5h x 114.3
18 x 8.0 +35 4h x 100
18 x 8.0 +25/+35 4h x 114.3
18 x 8.0 +35/+48 5h x 100
18 x 8.0 +25/+30/+35/+42/+48 5h x 114.3
18 x 9.0 +30/+35 4h x 114.3
18 x 9.0 +30/+35/+45/+48/+50 5h x 114.3

I was thinking 17x8.5 for front and rear, but i'm not sure if I could do that. Ideally I would like to go with a 17x8 and 17x9 setup, but I can't find a nice set of wheels that fits that description that will fit the S2k. If I had to go with an 18 inch wheel it looks like 18x8 and 18x9?
Ugg why cant this car be simple.

In my opinion...
17 - 17x7.5 +45 (F)
17x8.5 +50

Yeah thats what I was thinking...

Aren't the front offsets supposed to be higher though?

Higher is better. +45 is what I am running all around and I only rub slightly on the front and more so in the rear, lowered on Eibach's. The 18" have better offsets, but the 17's are doable, you may want to roll the fenders if are lowered though.

I was planning on getting a coilover setup, but how much lower is your car?

many people have said that with the D2s only the 18s fit our car...there are some issues with the 17s

Just remember the higher the offset the better clearance at the fenders. I have wheels for the car listed on our web site. If I can help let me know.

Actually Jim,
Are there other options for wheels besides whats shown on the website? I'm open to suggestions as I plan on buying wheels and tires soon because the flat tire that I have isn't getting replaced...

Eibach's are only about an inch.

If I remember what I read on here correctly, there are some brake clearance issues with 17's, but not with 18's. I would suggest doing a good search before you buy anything.

With 18's, I definetely agree with sw05s2k.
