Choosing a staggered wheel width...
I am strongly considering the purchase of some 18" Enkei PF01's for my AP1. I got a great deal on some Goodyear F1's (225/40 front, 255/35 rear) and will be using these with the Enkei's. The PF01's I am considering have an offset all around of +45, and based on the tire size, the FAQ indicates that I will need to roll the fenders.
My question is regarding the size of the PF01's to get. I could either get 18x7.5 front/18x9 rear or 18x8 front/18x9.5 rear. I want the rolling to go as smoothly as possible, and don't think I will notice the half inch in wheel thickness.
Would the bigger rims stick out farther, requiring more roll? Or will the tires bow more on the narrow rims, requiring more roll? Or would this just really not make that big of a difference?
Thanks for any advice!

No real difference on the degree of rolling needed, then? It appears to be a bit of a PITA, and I am a little worried about paint cracking if I have to bend the metal too much!

there's definitely a difference, the wider you go (with the same offsets) the harder it will be to make them fit.
Thanks for all the helpful replies!

It's not guaranteed that your paint won't chip/crack. My front passenger started to chip in the fender rolling process by an EXPERIENCED roller. Just one of those things where you have to accept it if it does happen.

My rolling will be done by a Pre-experienced roller. Me. I spoke with an experienced body shop and they said they don't use a heatgun when the roll fenders. Probably get more work that way!
Fingers crossed.
Hopefully it won't be too much $$$ to have the fenders touched up if I do get chipping.
