Default Cheap center caps for OEM/AP2 wheels?

OK, after some Fun With Search (53 pages of results for "caps" in this forum alone)...

Looking for caps for the OEM's without breaking the bank. The ones that came with the car now adorn the "summer wheels". TR Motorsports F3 I think they're called? The OEM wheels are now shod with the winter tires, but no caps. (don't ask "why not transfer back and forth" because I'm not going to do it).

Appearance not critical, just don't want corrosion issues with what's now exposed.

They can be black plastic with "Kia" stamped on them if they fit -- not sure if wheel manufacturers bother to have brand-specific hole diameters for various wheel of it one-size-fits-most.

Don't make me resort to duct tape...

The silence being deafening, I'll presume there is no cheap way out. So, I can either (A) do without, (B) buy another set of OEM's,

Are the OEM caps really that expensive?

Pretty stinking expensive for what they are, I would try for some used caps in the for sale forums or some aftermarket types.

Yeah, $130+ to solve what's effectively a non-problem...

I guess if I knew the exact diameter of the primary opening, ledge depth and secondary diameter, I could scan www.centercapdiscount.com and find one from an econobox that fits.

I do have a micrometer, time to break it out.

For somebody so particular about their car, im surprised that you aren't going to switch them. Afterall, it's only 2x a year. I switch wheel sets 4-5 times a month (almost every weekend) and have to move my hub-centric rings, locking snap rings, and center caps.

Guess I'm just surprised someone so frugal with their money isn't willing to put in the extra effort...twice a year.

Apparently you missed "don't ask "why not transfer back and forth" because I'm not going to do it" in the initial post.

Actually, I'm more worried about damaging the caps -- or the wheels, during the repeated transfers.

I can afford the caps (I did spend >$3K on wheels & tires this year) but thought that perhaps someone at s2ki had found an alternative that fit.

I had bought a set of cheap (price wise) ones on ebay. I paid $30 bucks for all four. You just have to search, be patient, and have a little luck. His ebay name is hubcapkingdom. Check him out and see if he has what you need.

You two guys -- thanks, had not been to eBay in a couple of years. Not a bad idea. That link, I dunno, they look right but the "compatability guide" shows about every car except the S2000 and I don't see a diameter listed although asking would not hurt.

Good feedback -- to the point, actually answering the question.
