Default Can you identify these wheel locks?

Well... can you identify what type of wheel locks these are? I picked up my '05 S2k last weekend and they came with these wheel locks. I've searched the entire car, secret compartment, spare wheel well, tool area, etc. and can't find the key... I'll be completely screwed if I need to take a wheel off for any reason so I'd like to sort this out before that situation arises... thanks!

They look like OEM locks. If they are, they're made by McGard.

Is it best to goto the dealer or just an autoparts store (assuming they carry McGard wheel locks)... also, are they generic in terms of the key (i.e. any McGard key works with any McGard lock)?

Appreciate the help

I think the keys are different, or at least they have different enough variations that you may or may not find someone with a key that works.

I've read before that people who lost their keys called McGard directly to get new ones sent to them and it wasn't too expensive. I don't know how they proved they were actual owners of the locks, though.

Hope that helps and good luck.

You could try to contact the persone/place where you purchased your car from first. They probably still have it.

try the dealership....they might have the "masterset" of wheels locks and be able to tell you which model it is and then you can purchase a replacement one...if not then RUEHL925 is right; you'll have to get them removed and ust buy a new set.

^+1 on the dealership idea. They might even do it for free if they are nice.

This is what I was leaning towards... I can just go there and figure it out relatively quickly. Thanks guys
