Default can someone explain tire wear ratings to me pls ?

Excuse my ignorance, but can someone explain in lamens term what tire and how tire wear ratings are measured ?

For example Dunlop FM901's have a rating of 200 as opposed to Kuhmo's 320

Is that significant for the daily driving , non track driving that I do ?

Wear ratings are not directly comparable across manufacturers. However, within a manufacturers line of tires, a tire with a treadwear rating of 200 should wear approx twice as long as a tire from the same manufacturer with a rating of 100, with similar duty cycles. But you can't make any call that the Kuhmo's will last 60% longer than the Dunlops.
