Default Bwm e39 m5 wheel fitment

First off, I love this forum so much i had to join. You guys really are helping a lot of s2k owners out by posting here and i appreciate your contributions. This is my first post and i figured one of you knowledgeable guys might happen to know if these wheels would fit my ap1. My father has an M5 and decided his wheels weren't what he wanted (so i happily took them off his hands.)The specs on the wheels are...

Bolt Pattern - 5x120mm
Front Wheel Size - 18 x 8.0 in
Rear Wheel Size - 18 x 9.5 in.
Offset - 20mm (front), 22mm (rear)

I know that the bolt pattern isn't the same and i'd have to get hub adapters. I've never fully understood how you can make such determinations regarding wheel fitment, so I would very much appreciate someone tossing me some info on the subject, or pointing me in the right direction. Thanks guys.

Will it fit? No

Wheels depend on what you want to do with the car. Ride height? Springs or coils?

You can run non-staggered 17x9 +45 with a 255/40 tires with some basic fender mods.

1. Even if they were correct bolt pattern, offset is too low (wheels stick out past body of car) to work without major modifications.
2. An adapter is basically a spacer (that pushes the wheel out even further) with new studs in the desired bolt pattern. This is only going to make problem #1 worse.

Sell them and use funds for proper S2000 fitment.

You will end up spending so much more fitting your free wheels you could have had a set of nice wheels that fit for much less. I agree sell them and buy wheels with the right bolt pattern and right offsets.

The BMW bolt pattern is 5-120 and the Honda is 5-114.3. It will be very difficult to find a wheel from another car to fit the S2000. I would suggest getting aftermarket wheels to fit the S2K and then you don't have to worry about trying to make them fit.
If I can help let me know.
