Hello all. Like many others, the time has come to replace the OEM tires on my 05 S2K. I have read the other threads extolling the virtues of Kumho, Goodyesr Eagle, and Bridgestone Potenza. I also want the best of all worlds for my new tires i.e. handling, cost, and tread wear. But I have another requirement to add into the mix and hope there are a few of you out there that can help guide me in the right direction. I would like a tire that reduces road noise. I have a problem with my ears and noise level. There is a point where the noise becomes painful with the top down. So any suggestions?

Any Tire that is Directional will be louder than a non-directional Tire. If you're OK with sacrificing Maximum grip I've had a decent Experience with the Pirelli PZERO NERO M&S. I'll be switching to some ADVANS soon however. I don't mind the noise!

What denotes a tire being directional vs non-directional?
Katherine, I would suggest you go to the TireRack site and check out all the tires that will fit your year of car. Take a look at all the ratings for each tire - wear, handling, wet and dry, speed rating, price, etc. These may be confusing to you but jot them down or print them off, then go to your Taco Tuesday and show RT or Jerry. Those guys will be able to advise you on what you should buy.
